Biography:

I am a Computer Science and Engineering graduate and currently serve as a faculty member in the Computer Science program at Asian University for Women, Bangladesh. I consider myself an active and dedicated professional who enjoys learning about new technologies and staying updated with emerging trends. I began exploring the field of deep learning, particularly medical image processing and computer vision, and have worked with various types of medical images, including MRI, X-ray, histopathological, and thin blood smear images. My research interests focus on developing custom neural network models for medical image datasets, applying advanced image preprocessing and feature extraction techniques to capture meaningful patterns, and tuning hyperparameters to improve model accuracy.

I am eager to explore multimodal approaches that combine computer vision, explainable AI, and LLMs to build more effective diagnostic tools. I am particularly passionate about addressing the challenge of aligning and interpreting AI models in the healthcare domain.

I am actively seeking PhD opportunities in medical image processing, with a focus on federated learning for biomedical data, novel neural network architectures for feature extraction, and region-based segmentation methods to advance clinical decision support systems.

Research Interest:

  1. Multimodal Information Retrieval

  2. AI in Healthcare

  3. Medical Image Processing

  4. Explainable AI

  5. Statistical ML

Ongoing Work

Diabetic Retinopathy Detection from Retinal Fundus Images

We are developing a robust deep neural network (DNN) model for multiclass classification of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) using retinal fundus images. The model leverages advanced image preprocessing and feature extraction techniques such as contrast enhancement, vessel segmentation, and morphological analysis to highlight the pathological changes in the retinal blood vessels, microaneurysms, and exudates. By integrating convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with transfer learning and regularization methods, the system is designed to improve accuracy, generalizability, and clinical reliability in automated DR diagnosis.
